Recently unveiled, a unique series of Starbucks Coffee and Olive Oil drinks as their primary ingredient on February 22nd, 2023.
Starbucks Chairman Howard Schultz recently visited Italy and decided to incorporate olive oil into his coffee drink as part of an Italian tradition. To honor this custom, he added Partanna extra virgin olive oil into his Starbucks cup for something astonishing: extra flavor!
“I was unexpectedly impressed by the taste and texture created when Partanna Extra Virgin Olive Oil was infusionated into Starbucks coffee,” Schultz stated in a press release. “Both hot and cold coffee beverages experienced an unexpected velvety, buttery undertone which enhanced the coffee and lingered beautifully on the palate.”
Oleato Caffè Latte, Oleato Iced Shaken Espresso, and the Oleato Golden Foam Cold Brew have been introduced. The name derives from two Latin words: “olive” and “with oil.”
Oleato Caffe Latte is the most straightforward option, using just Starbucks Blonde Espresso Roast and extra-virgin olive oil (EVOO) as the base. Finally, this base is topped off with steam-cooked oat milk for a plant-based option.
Like Starbucks’ classic Iced Shaken Espresso, The Oleato Iced Shaken Espresso takes Starbucks Blonde Espresso Roast. It transforms it with hazelnut syrup and Oat milk. Shaken together with extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) and ice, this beverage produces an irresistibly sweet and satisfying sip.
Oleato Golden Foam Ice Brew offers a smooth and delicious golden foam with an infusion of EVOO and vanilla cold cream. This luxurious foam provides an all-encompassing taste sensation when served atop their cold brew coffees.
Though only available at Starbucks locations throughout Italy, they are expected to expand to Southern California this spring. Furthermore, olive oil-infused coffee is expected to become widely available worldwide later this year.
